TOWARDS AN INTERNATIONAL, STANDARDIZED MODEL PSYCHOPHARMACOLOGY CURRICULUM FOR PSYCHIATRY RESIDENCY TRAINING: A COMPETENCY-BASED FRAMEWORK FOR IMPLEMENTATION

Keanna Lee — edYOU Technologies

The purpose of this presentation is to demonstrate the ASCP Interactive AI Curriculum, highlight its role in delivering standardized psychopharmacology education, and gather direct feedback from current and potential users. Variability in psychopharmacology training across institutions continues to create inconsistencies in competency, prescribing practices, and learner preparedness. The ASCP Interactive AI Curriculum was developed to address these gaps by transforming the model curriculum into an adaptive, interactive digital learning environment supported by artificial intelligence. This workshop will provide a focused walkthrough of the platform, including its key features: AIsupported content navigation, adaptive question generation, multimodal instructional components, and its alignment with ACGME milestones and best-practice educational frameworks. There will be a live demonstration, followed by audience engagement. Participants will be invited to respond to targeted questions about usability, curricular value, integration feasibility, and potential barriers to adoption. Data collection will include realtime polling, facilitated discussion prompts, and qualitative feedback based on user impressions during the demonstration. Preliminary findings from early institutional programs indicate strong learner engagement, improved access to evidence-informed decision tools, and increased efficiency in navigating complex psychopharmacology concepts. Users also reported that the AI-assisted question banks enhanced formative assessment and individualized learning. This workshop will expand on these preliminary findings by incorporating insights directly from ASCP members, educators, program leaders, and trainees. We expect this workshop to play a key role in evaluating how the ongoing development of the ASCP Interactive AI Curriculum aligns with the needs of key stakeholders, including educators, trainees, and program leaders. Through live demonstration of the AI-powered platform, participants will engage directly with the “living” textbook, testprep features, and adaptive content pathways. Audience input, including perceptions of usability, identified gaps, and emerging educational needs, will be gathered through guided discussion and real-time feedback during the demo.
